Artistic Tiling St Austell : Cornwall Wall & Flooring Tilers

Some tilers fit tiles. Artistic Tiling, based in St Austell, sets out to do something more — turning a space into what the company itself calls a genuine work of art. Specialising in bespoke, luxury tiling for both residential and commercial clients, Artistic Tiling has built a reputation across Cornwall for taking on projects that demand real craftsmanship, from delicate heritage restoration work through to swimming pools, car showrooms, and luxury newbuild apartments.

Whether you’re renovating a period Cornish cottage, fitting out a boutique hotel, or building a striking new coastal home, Artistic Tiling offers a level of skill and attention to detail aimed squarely at the top end of the trade.

About Artistic Tiling

Artistic Tiling is a team of master craftsmen tilers based in St Austell, working across both domestic residential and commercial projects throughout Cornwall. The company’s own guiding principle is simple and consistent across every job it takes on: “On small jobs or large, quality is our priority.” That philosophy runs through the business’s entire approach, from small restoration projects to large-scale commercial installations.

The team combines genuine technical knowledge with a real design sensibility, working with ceramics, porcelain, and all types of natural stone. Whether the job calls for a glass tile splashback in a family kitchen or large-format porcelain across an entire car showroom floor, Artistic Tiling’s fitters bring specialist experience matched with the right equipment and technical know-how to deliver a precise, high-end result.

Bespoke Luxury Tiling, From Restoration to New Build

One of the things that sets Artistic Tiling apart is the genuine range of its expertise at the more demanding end of the trade. The company takes on heritage restoration work, requiring real sensitivity to period properties and traditional materials, alongside luxury newbuild apartment projects where a completely different, contemporary design approach is called for. Very few tiling businesses are equally comfortable moving between these two worlds, and it’s a strong signal of the depth of technical skill within the team.

This dual capability matters more than it might first appear. Restoring tiling in a period Cornish property often means working around original features, uneven surfaces, and materials that are no longer readily available, requiring patience and a genuinely different skill set to fitting a brand-new apartment with a completely blank canvas. Artistic Tiling’s ability to move confidently between the two is part of what has earned the business its reputation across the county.

Residential Tiling

Residential tiling has always been at the heart of Artistic Tiling’s work, from bespoke kitchen backsplashes to complete bathroom transformations. The team manages each project from the design stage right through to completion, aiming to make the whole process genuinely stress-free for the homeowner. Every residential job is handled with an emphasis on minimising disruption to the home throughout the works, so customers aren’t left living around a building site for longer than necessary.

Commercial Tiling

Artistic Tiling has built a growing and varied client base in the commercial sector, converting a wide range of business spaces into genuinely desirable environments.

Hotels, Restaurants and Retail

The company provides bespoke tiling solutions for hotels, restaurants, offices, and retail spaces across Cornwall, bringing the same luxury finish and attention to detail that defines its residential work to commercial environments where first impressions matter enormously.

Swimming Pools and Car Showrooms

Among the more technically demanding commercial projects Artistic Tiling takes on are swimming pools and car showrooms — both requiring exacting precision, careful material selection, and genuine large-format tiling expertise to achieve a flawless, showroom-quality finish.

Schools, Museums and Hospitals

Artistic Tiling’s commercial portfolio also extends to schools, museums, and hospitals, sectors where durability, hygiene, and safety are just as important as appearance. The ability to work confidently across such a wide range of commercial settings reflects the breadth of experience within the team.

Materials

Artistic Tiling works with an extensive range of premium tiling materials, sourced from reputable suppliers to ensure a genuinely luxurious and durable finish:

• Porcelain — including large-format tiles for car showrooms and contemporary interiors
• Natural stone — for a premium, textured finish suited to heritage and high-end newbuild projects alike
• Glass — popular for striking splashbacks and feature detailing
