DK Plumbing & Heating | Gas Safe & OFTEC Registered Plumber in Aberdeen AB15

DK Plumbing and Heating is a Gas Safe registered and OFTEC registered plumbing and heating company based in Aberdeen, personally operated by Douglas — named in every review across Yell, MyBuilder, and RatingsPlus as the individual who attends every job, communicates proactively throughout, and leaves every site tidy on completion. A named Yell review confirms Douglas responded to a contact made on a May Day bank holiday, replied promptly, and attended the following morning to install two motorised valves — described as very proficient, polite, and leaving a tidy work site. A second named review confirms an Aberdeen homeowner returned from time away to find the house freezing with no heating or hot water, contacted Douglas first thing in the morning expecting to wait a day, and was delighted when Douglas attended the same morning. A third named MyBuilder review confirms Douglas sourced and fitted a new boiler within 24 hours, took time to explain the workings of the new unit, and proactively identified a gas pipe issue the homeowner was unaware of — prompting them to commission further plumbing work on the strength of Douglas’s honesty and professionalism. Gas Safe registration is the legal requirement for all gas work in Scotland, with Douglas’s Gas Safe card verifiable on the public register. OFTEC registration confirms authorisation to work on oil boilers and oil appliances — a specific dual qualification that enables Douglas to service, repair, and replace both gas and oil heating systems across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire. Boiler Installation, Servicing & Central Heating — Aberdeen AB15

Douglas installs, services, and repairs gas and oil boilers across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire — covering combi boiler installation and replacement, system boiler installation, annual boiler servicing, emergency boiler breakdown attendance, central heating repairs, and motorised valve and zone control installation. A named RatingsPlus review confirms a boiler replaced the very next day after the customer contacted Douglas — described as a very tidy tradesman with great communication throughout, with the reviewer committing to using Douglas for all future boiler servicing. A second named review confirms Douglas handled a difficult oil boiler replacement knowledgeably, was prompt and easy to communicate with, and left the installation to a professional and tidy standard. Power flushing is carried out for Aberdeen central heating systems where accumulated sludge and magnetite debris reduce circulation efficiency and boiler performance — with Douglas’s diagnostic approach confirmed across multiple reviews as identifying underlying system issues that the immediate presenting fault alone does not reveal. Full central heating system installation, central heating repairs, and wet room plumbing are all available across the Aberdeen AB postcode area.

Emergency Plumbing, General Plumbing & Landlord Services — Aberdeen & Aberdeenshire

Douglas provides emergency plumbing attendance across Aberdeen — covering burst pipes, water leaks, blocked drains and toilets, blocked pipes, leaking cisterns, and all urgent plumbing failures requiring same-day or next-morning attendance. The named review portfolio confirms Douglas consistently attends within hours of contact rather than days — a response pattern that a multi-engineer company dispatching from a central booking system cannot guarantee in the way that a personally operated single-tradesperson service can, where Douglas controls his own diary and responds to enquiries directly. General plumbing covers shower installation and repair, bath and shower resealing, tap repairs and replacements, toilet repairs and installations, water tank installation, leak detection and repair, cistern repairs, and all domestic plumbing maintenance across Aberdeen properties. A named MyBuilder review from Jim Wood confirms Douglas arrived on time, viewed the job, texted a written quote for acceptance, ordered parts, returned on the confirmed day, and completed the leaking cistern repair — described as good reliable service at a fair price with no hesitation in recommending DK Plumbing to others. Landlord gas safety certificates — CP12 certificates — are issued for Aberdeen rental properties, with Douglas’s Gas Safe registration and OFTEC qualification covering both gas and oil appliances for landlords managing properties across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire with mixed heating systems.
