GSJ Tiling Contractors: Worcester’s Natural Stone and Bespoke Tiling Specialists

Some tiling jobs are straightforward. Others involve small, awkward, irregularly shaped spaces and intricate geometric patterns that would defeat most tilers before they’ve even started. GSJ Tiling Contractors, run by Greg and based in Worcester, has built its reputation on precisely that kind of challenge — with more than 60 verified five-star reviews and a particular renown for natural stone work that few local competitors can match.

Whether it’s a Cotswold stone floor, a bespoke marble staircase, a Victorian mosaic hallway, or a large commercial contract, GSJ Tiling Contractors brings formal trade qualifications and genuine specialist skill to every project across Worcester and the surrounding area.

About GSJ Tiling Contractors — Meet Greg

GSJ Tiling Contractors is a fully insured professional tiling company based in Worcester, specialising in wall and floor tiling for both domestic and commercial clients. Established in 2009, the business has built up well over a decade of experience across residential homes and large-scale commercial contracts, earning an outstanding reputation along the way — reflected in more than 60 verified five-star reviews on Yell.

Greg, who leads the business, holds qualifications from City and Guilds as well as NVQ level trade qualifications, giving customers genuine confidence in the formal training behind the finished work. The team is fully insured and registered, holds higher disclosure DBS checks, and maintains all the health and safety certifications needed for site work, including CSCS cards — credentials that matter enormously for commercial and multi-trade sites where proper vetting is a genuine requirement, not just a nice-to-have.

That combination of formal qualification, verified vetting, and a long track record dating back to 2009 is relatively unusual for a business of this size, and it’s a large part of why GSJ Tiling Contractors has become a trusted name for both homeowners and professional property developers across Worcester.

Services

Natural Stone Tiling

Natural stone is what GSJ Tiling Contractors is best known for. With deep, hands-on experience across travertine, limestone, slate, marble, and granite, the team is equally comfortable laying a 50 to 100 square metre Cotswold stone floor as constructing a full wet room from slate, travertine, or modular limestone.

Large Format Porcelain and Ceramic

For open-plan offices, showrooms, and residential properties alike, GSJ Tiling Contractors brings genuine knowledge and practical skill to large-format porcelain and ceramic tiling projects, including the careful planning and layout design that a big, seamless floor demands.

Bespoke Tiled Staircases

One of GSJ Tiling Contractors’ more unusual specialisms is tiling staircases in slate, marble, and granite — a genuinely technical skill that requires real precision on every step, riser, and edge.

Victorian Mosaic

The team also has particular expertise in Victorian mosaic tiling, restoring and installing the intricate, patterned floors associated with period properties — a style that demands patience and a real eye for detail to get right.

Domestic Tiling

On the residential side, GSJ Tiling Contractors covers floor tiling, kitchens, bathrooms, and wet rooms, bringing the same specialist-level craftsmanship to family homes as to larger commercial projects.

Commercial Tiling

Commercial work spans swimming pools, bespoke tiled staircases, stone restoration, and general commercial properties — a genuinely broad range that reflects the depth of experience built up since 2009.

A Trusted Partnership with Topps Tiles

GSJ Tiling Contractors has worked exclusively alongside Topps Tiles in Worcester for years, and recommends the store to customers researching tile choices for their project. That long-standing relationship gives customers confidence they’re being pointed toward genuinely good value and choice, rather than a generic recommendation — and it’s a two-way endorsement, with customers who’ve originally been referred to Greg by Topps Tiles going on to praise his work themselves.

What Customers Say

GSJ Tiling Contractors’ testimonials speak to both the technical skill and the personal manner Greg brings to every job. One customer, originally recommended by Topps Tiles, described how Greg tackled a genuinely difficult logistical challenge — small, inaccessible, irregularly shaped spaces combined with an intricate geometric tile pattern — transforming what had been dated, uninviting areas into warm, colourful, welcoming spaces. She particularly noted his courteous, friendly, and professional manner, calling it a refreshing change after previous experiences with building work on her property.

Another customer, a property developer, first called on Greg in 2016 to correct poor work carried out by a previous tradesperson on one of their rental properties. Impressed by his punctuality, professionalism, and the quality of the finished work, they’ve used Greg exclusively across their entire property portfolio ever since, for everything from small tiling corrections to full bathroom and kitchen refits — a genuinely strong endorsement from someone with ongoing, repeated exposure to his work across multiple properties.
