Confirm A Kill Nottingham | Nottinghamshire Pest Control Specialists
- 9 Shelley Road, Nottingham, NG5 6HN
We’re Manor Loft Specialists, and we help homeowners across Beeston, Nottingham and the wider East Midlands make better use of the space above their heads, whether that’s a full loft conversion, a boarded storage loft, or simply a proper ladder for easier access. Based in Beeston, we cover most parts of the East Midlands including Nottingham and Derby.
We were established by time-served carpenter and joiner William Hoult, and our team shares a common enthusiasm for meticulous craftsmanship, making sure all expectations are reached within the planned budgets. For us, communication with our customers is a key factor in understanding their vision for the project, so we aim to keep you informed during every phase of the process. That approach guarantees you the desired end product, and us the work satisfaction that comes with a job done properly.
William holds an NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Wood Occupations and brings over a decade of building trade experience to every project we take on. Alongside William, James Credgington leads day-to-day work on site, and between us we’ve built a genuine reputation across Beeston and the surrounding area for getting the details right, not just the big structural elements.
A loft conversion adds extra space to your home and can increase its resale value significantly — based on average house prices, an extra bathroom alone could potentially add around 5%, or £9,600, onto the value of a typical UK home. We endeavour to realise your personalised vision of a loft conversion right down to the final details, advising, designing and constructing the project from start to finish while remaining in continual contact with you throughout.
We work across all the main loft conversion types, including flat roof dormers, pitched roof dormers, hipped roof to gable conversions, and full mansard conversions, and we’ll help you work out which one suits your property and your budget. Once a contract is agreed, we deploy our own expert builders, plumbers, electricians, plasterers and roofers, keeping the construction phase smooth and time-efficient and disturbance inside your home to a minimum. For a standard loft, we generally complete the job in around ten weeks from start to finish, though this can vary for larger lofts, dormers, or if the weather holds us up.
Many homeowners don’t realise that a loft conversion is often considered permitted development, meaning full planning permission isn’t always required, though the conversion does need to stay within certain limits and conditions — something we’re always happy to talk you through.
A full loft conversion isn’t always possible, whether that’s down to restricted head height or simply your own preferences, but we can still help you make a real change to the space you’ve got. By installing boards to your ceiling joists, we can add plenty of extra storage without a full conversion, and this service is also available for garages and outbuildings. Depending on what you need, we can build a larger wooden or PVC hatch in your existing location or a new one, supply and fit lighting (usually a 4ft fluorescent tube, though there are other options), add windows for natural light, supply and fit extra fibreglass insulation, and line your roof with breathable roofing felt to keep debris off your stored items. Loft boarding typically costs between £300 and £1,500 depending on how much boarding is required.
Fitting a two or three-section ladder helps you gain quicker, easier and safer access to your loft. We advise on the best options for your property and install the unit at a competitive price, whether that’s a wooden ladder to suit your interior or a lighter, more cost-efficient aluminium one. Operating in and around Nottingham, we’re proud to be local tradesmen working to a genuinely professional standard, and our clients across Nottinghamshire back that up.
Whenever we take on a project, we make sure to properly understand what you’re looking for — our aim isn’t just to finish a loft conversion, but to get the look and feel right too. From the point of quotation, our team takes care of everything and keeps things organised, talking you through every step so you understand exactly what’s being done and why. Initially there won’t be any mess at all: we minimise dust and disturbance by entering the site via scaffolding wherever we can, and whenever we do need to come through the house, we use dust sheets and hoover up afterwards.
We currently hold a 5.0-star rating from 35 Google reviews, and we’re genuinely proud of that. Judith Biddulph in Beeston told us Will and James had just completed replacing the handrail, baserail and spindles on her staircase to a great standard. Lesley Bowmar, also in Beeston, said we were very polite and professional in our work, staying until the job was done and leaving everything tidy. Michael Burke in Beeston called us top quality tradesmen he couldn’t recommend highly enough, and Mr Thompson in Chilwell praised our work partway through his loft conversion. More recently, Francesco told us we replaced his loft hatch and installed a new aluminium ladder quickly and cleanly, with minimal disruption to his day, and said he’d highly recommend both Will and Manor Loft Specialists.
We’re a locally owned and run loft conversion company based in Beeston, covering the whole of Nottingham including Derby, Chilwell, Attenborough, Toton, Long Eaton and West Bridgford.
