Quincey Lofts: Dorset’s Loft Conversion Specialists in Poole

We’re Quincey Lofts, and we’re Dorset’s premier loft conversion specialists, based right here in Poole. Don’t move, improve! Our team has the experience and skill to turn any loft space into new rooms for you and your family to enjoy for years to come, whether that’s a small single-room Velux conversion or a large dormer conversion with multiple bedrooms, en-suite bathrooms and studies.

About Us

We’re a family-run loft conversion and carpentry business, run by Adam and Sarah Quincey. We’re based in the Poole area of Dorset and have lived locally for 30 years, so when we say we know the area, we mean it — we understand the mix of bungalows, semis and period homes across Poole, Bournemouth and the wider Dorset coast, and what each one needs to make the most of an unused loft. We understand that having major structural alterations to your house can be a daunting prospect, so we always make sure disruption is kept to a bare minimum, that you’re kept informed throughout the build, and that we’re on time and on budget. Each project is important to us. We’re trustworthy, professional and friendly, and we always maintain a good working relationship with our customers, because we want you to be one of the many satisfied clients who’d happily show you what we’ve created for them.

We’re fully qualified and insured, and all our work is always to an exceptional standard. You’ll also find us on Checkatrade, where we currently hold a score of 9.89 out of 10 — a rating built up entirely from verified reviews left by our actual customers, not just claims we make about ourselves. We’re proud of that reputation and we work hard every day to keep it.

Going Above and Beyond

Our attention to detail and quality of work goes above and beyond what other companies can offer. We have all the tools and experience needed to change your home for the better, and we look forward to hearing from you and hopefully giving you your dream home.

Our Specialist Services

Loft conversions are at the heart of what we do, and we offer full and part conversions using traditional hand-cut roofs, trussed roofs, and flat roofs, along with Velux window installations and all aspects of carpentry. Whether you’re picturing a single extra room in the roof or a full multi-room conversion with an en-suite, we’ll talk you through the options that suit your property and your budget before any work begins. Beyond lofts, we also handle property extensions and property renovations, managing everything from planning right through to completion, so you’re not left coordinating separate contractors for each stage of a bigger project.

Our full range of services includes:

• Full and part loft conversions
• Traditional hand-cut roofs, trussed roofs and flat roofs
• Velux window installations
• All aspects of carpentry
• Kitchen design and installation
• Bathrooms
• Flooring
• Decking
• Fencing
• Bespoke carpentry and joinery
• Soffit, fascia and guttering installation

Because we cover both the structural side of a loft conversion and the finishing trades like carpentry, flooring and bathrooms, we can see a project through from the first structural work to the last coat of paint, without you needing to bring in a separate firm partway through.

Latest Project Completed

We recently completed a bungalow loft conversion in Upton, Poole, adding a side extension and a two-bedroom gable-to-gable dormer loft conversion with a gorgeous en-suite bathroom. We finished it off with some stunning cedar cladding and a slick composite slate roof — what an amazing transformation, and another very happy customer.

What Our Customers Say

Customers across Dorset and beyond keep coming back to us and recommending us to others. One customer in Poole told us Adam completed a loft conversion of their bungalow with two bedrooms and en-suites plus a single storey extension, praising his excellent communication and calling the team hard-working and conscientious throughout. A customer in Guildford said the communication and problem-solving were both good, with changes to the plan always discussed, costed and agreed before being carried out, with no nasty surprises. In Swanage, a customer told us the work began earlier than expected, the team were courteous and tidy throughout, and the whole project was finished so soon they were delighted with the result. Several customers in Bournemouth have described us as faultless, praised our attention to detail even through cold, wet and stormy winter conditions, and said they’d use us again without hesitation.
