Since new rules on Persistent Organic Pollutants came into force in 2023, sofas, mattresses and upholstered furniture have to be handled, stored and processed differently to the rest of what goes in a skip. Skip Sizes to Suit the Job

We stock 4, 6, 8 and 12-yard skips as standard, alongside 25 and 35-yard roll-on roll-off containers for larger commercial and construction jobs. A 4-yard skip holds around 40 black bags of waste, a 6-yard around 65, an 8-yard around 100, and a 12-yard around 130, giving you a rough guide before you call. Our team is always happy to advise on which size actually suits your project once you’ve told us what you’re clearing.

What You Can and Can’t Put In

We accept non-hazardous household, commercial and industrial waste, though plasterboard and felt need agreeing in advance. We can’t take asbestos, tins of paint, harmful chemicals, weapons, animal waste, tyres, syringes, gas canisters or food waste. Skips can be kept for up to two weeks as standard, with extensions available if you need more time, and we accept both card payment in advance and cash on delivery.

Flexible Hire, Fast Turnaround

We know a build doesn’t stop just because a skip’s full. On larger jobs, we can collect a full skip and deliver a replacement the same day, so your team can keep working rather than waiting around. If your skip needs to sit on the road rather than a driveway, we can arrange the council permit for you, provided you let us know when you book.

Committed to Recycling

We strive to recycle 90% of the waste that comes into our site, processed through our own licensed waste transfer station here in Reading. That licence, issued by the Environment Agency, means the waste you hand over to us is tracked and handled properly, not just taken away and forgotten about.
