S.C. Roofing Southwest Ltd — Cornish Wet Lay and General Roofing Specialists

S.C. Roofing Southwest Ltd is a small, specialist roofing and building company operating across West Cornwall, including Marazion, Penzance and St Ives and the surrounding area. With over 50 years of combined experience across the team and 18 years of trading history, this is a company that has survived long enough in one of the UK’s most weather-punishing environments to know exactly what it is doing.

The company’s particular strength is Cornish Scandal (wet lay) roofing — the traditional method that uses lime mortar and timber pegs to fix slate in the manner that Cornwall’s older buildings were designed to accept. Many of St Ives’ most characterful properties have this type of roof, and repairing or replacing it requires exactly the kind of specialist knowledge S.C. Roofing Southwest holds.

Services Covering St Ives and West Cornwall

Work undertaken includes general slating and tiling, Cornish wet lay specialist roofing, bespoke lead work and welding, chimney restoration, rebuilding and replacement, Velux window installation, attic conversions, extensions, and new builds. The team is registered as S.C. Roofing Southwest Ltd (Companies House number 14015774) with a registered address at Bosinney, Perran Downs Lane, Goldsithney, Penzance, Cornwall, TR20 9HQ.

Customer testimonials describe polite, hard-working operatives and a high-quality finish across chimney work, rendering, and roofing — with several clients returning for additional projects after being impressed by initial work.
