Scott Sim Painter and Decorator — Bridge of Don, Aberdeen

Scott Sim is a painter and decorator based in Bridge of Don who has been working in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire for over 20 years. He trained through a proper apprenticeship and spent years working for large building contractors before setting up his own business — the kind of commercial background that teaches how to deliver consistently high-quality work under pressure, on a schedule, and to a professional standard.

Scott handles all aspects of interior and exterior painting and decorating, AMES taping, wallpaper hanging, and spray painting, taking on projects of all sizes for both domestic and commercial clients across the area. His policy is to offer free quotes, and he extends a 10% discount to NHS staff.

Customer feedback describes him as a true professional: hardworking, tidy, and someone who uses his experience to give honest, practical advice rather than simply telling clients what they want to hear. One client praised him for handling internal water damage and repainting with results they described as exactly what they asked for. Another used him for an office refurbishment before a tenancy handback and recommended him unreservedly for the quality and timeliness of the work.

Despite the strength of the reviews and a Checkatrade presence, Scott’s web footprint is modest. A Trusted Tradesman profile would put his 20-plus years of experience in front of Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire homeowners who are actively looking for a painter rather than browsing social media.
