Demolition

Alongside skip hire, we carry out demolition work, bringing the same recycling-first approach to clearing a structure that we apply to everything else we collect. Materials from a demolition job go through the same sorting process as anything else that comes to us, keeping as much as possible out of landfill.

Our Licensed Waste Transfer Facility

We operate a fully licensed Waste Transfer Facility with a sharp focus on landfill diversion and recycling. Materials that come through our doors are sorted and prepared to re-enter the material supply chain wherever possible, rather than simply being sent on to be buried. Being family owned and locally based means the same people accountable for that facility are the ones you’ll actually speak to on the phone, not a call centre several counties away.

What We Can’t Accept, and Why

We’re upfront about the limits of what we can take. General waste skips can’t include soil, subsoil, turf, clay or topsoil, because once it’s mixed with other materials it becomes very difficult to separate and recycle properly. If you specifically need to dispose of soil, we can sometimes offer a soil-only skip, subject to availability, so check with our office when you book. We’ve also had to stop accepting mattresses. When they arrive at our facility they’re extremely difficult to recycle and can cause blockages in our sorting plant, driving up costs and reducing our overall recycling rate. Most local authorities offer a separate mattress collection or drop-off service if that’s what you need.
